Initial
sanding with 220 grit sandpaper. I did
not strip the paint to bare metal, my 951
had been re-sprayed once before. If
your car has been re-sprayed numerous times
then you may want to consider this.
Fix minor dings with body filler,
the fender below turned out to be to
difficult for me to fix.
I pulled the fender and did my best to
straighten in. I decided to just buy a
fender on Ebay but when it arrived it had
been packaged improperly and was unusable.
Above was my best attempt. In the end
I had a professional at the paint shop fix
it and it turned out perfect.
I installed a fiberglass replica of the 968
bridge spoiler. Bought the spoiler for
$220 on Ebay from an outfit in Europe.
Be prepared to
spend a lot of time on the removed pieces,
especially the Nose.
Here the Turbo
is finally ready to go to the paint shop.
At the paint
shop, car is ready for high-block sanding
